This is a blog set up by Eli Fuller (me) to help keep readers informed and to promote our little country to prospective guests. It's also to make sure that new info about our island is passed on quickly and also to receive feedback on this info. Of course most of the things i write about have themes of ecology and usually have quite a bit to do with my company Adventure Antigua. Make comments anytime you want, but check the site above to book your adventure.

Flotsam and Jetsam part two
Some time ago i did a piece on Flotsam and Jetsam which was read by many according to my web tracker. I find the whole topic very interesting. While fishing 20 miles off Antigua recently we were able to get far out enough into the Atlantic to be part of the main current that comes across from Africa. We saw four green nets a massive rope and many small bits and pieces of plastic. We caught plenty of fish too. I decided to jump over and have a closer look (while hanging on to the ladder). In the video i forgot to mention that out that far in the Atlantic flotsam and jetsam also can attract and support sharks. I didn't see any thankfully. Hope you enjoy the vid:
